18th IMT-GT WGTC Meeting

1 July 2026, Putrajaya — Representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand convened in Putrajaya, Malaysia, and online for the 18th IMT-GT Working Group on Transport Connectivity (WGTC) and related meetings. The Meeting reviewed the implementation progress of transport connectivity initiatives and Physical Connectivity Projects (PCPs), discussed emerging priorities, and explored opportunities to further strengthen subregional cooperation.

As part of the IMT-GT Implementation Blueprint (IB) 2026–2031 Consultation Workshop on Transport Connectivity, Member Countries also reflected on the achievements and lessons learned from the IB 2022–2026, while identifying strategic priorities for the next five-year implementation period.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Member Countries to advancing a seamless, inclusive, sustainable, safe, and secure transport services and networks, reinforcing transport connectivity as a key driver of regional integration and sustainable economic growth across the IMT-GT subregion.
